Breakfast Sprinkle

A nutritious breakfast will boost your energy levels, metabolism and curb hunger cravings helping you avoid mid-morning sugary snacks. Yet so many of us don't have the time to make a proper breakfast, and so when you really don't even have the time to make Overnight Oats or a Smoothie, this breakfast sprinkle is a winner. It's just a simple throw-together kind of raw fruit and nut granola that you can keep in a jar and sprinkle on porridges, yogurts, on top of smoothie bowls etc. The ingredients below are just a possible combination - feel free to mix and match with whatever you like, have at home or what's on offer in your local supermarket. The recipe below makes about 6 portions, but of course you can make as big a batch as you'd like!

Ingredients:

1 cup of raw almonds

1 cup of raw walnuts

1 cup of dried apricots (chopped)

1 cup of dried cranberries

1 cup of raisins

1 cup of dessicated coconut

1/2 cup of sunflower seeds

1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds

1 cups of chia seeds

1/2 cup of hemp seeds

1/2 cup ground flax seed

1 tbsp of ground cinnamon

1 tsp of ground ginger

Method:

1. Measure out all the ingredients and place them in a large jar. Feel free to chop the nuts first too.

2. When ready to sprinkle, give the jar a good shake or stir and sprinkle away!
